9th - 11th November 2019 - Keswick

First day back in Keswick.

Climbed Skiddaw today.  Windy and cold at the top.

But of a boring walk really, straight up and down.

Now going out for a beer!

Mel hurt her knee coming down Skiddaw so yesterday we had a walk along the lake before heading back to town for a Sunday roast. This degenerated into an all day drinking session. 😬

Yesterday’s gorgeous weather has turned into solid rain so just going to chill today.

Left Chamonix after a great week. Arrived at Annecy. We are staying at Les Rives Du Lac. Really nice site on the lakes edge, not far from where we stayed in 2020.  First day chilled and had a beer in Annecy. Yesterday cycled the lake with Mel and had lunch half way around. (I actually did two loops!) Planning a bit of paddle boarding today before starting the homeward journey tomorrow.

Spent the weekend doing the Lakesman h Tri (5hr36) Weather was surprising good and we had a great weekend. Even managed to eat in the Dog and gun. Which was average. Travelled to Boot on Monday. Tuesday was a glorious day and we hiked Harter Fell coming back by Hardnott Pass and the Roman fort. Ate in the Woolpack last night. Tatty pot was excellent. This morning I ran Illgill Head / Whin Rigg. About 11 miles. Weather has been crap and we have sat around most of the day apart from a stroll through Howes wood.  Going to Boot Inn tonight.

22nd August 2022 - Chamonix

On holiday in Chsmonix. Drove done Sunday after a couple of days in Normandy where we visited the Blockhaus where they made V2 rockets.  Had a short hike up to a little restaurant today for lunch with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Paragliding tomorrow! Staying at Camping De Ecrueils, about 2 miles from Chamonix. Lovely little site.
