23rd - 26th October 2020 Bellingham / Pooley Bridge
Stayed a couple of nights in Bellingham after aborting visit to my mams. (Thanks Covid) Nice C&C site. Great facilities. I ran some of the Pennine way then we walked to the water fall which was really nice. Best but though? Great Chinese takeaway. Worth staying just for that! On the Saturday we drove to Waterside in Pooley Bridge via Keswick where we called in for a brilliant burger at “The Round”. The site here is decent as well. Right on Ullswater with great views. It’s obviously raining a lot, but managed a hike up to Arthur’s Pike. Good to see Chris, Jaimee and the kids. Meant to be nesting my cousin Eleanor for a pint later. Haven’t seen her since my wedding in 1996!!
